Quality of Life versus Standard of Living
Quality of Life and Standard of Living are different measurements of living conditions. A Standard of Living compares your country against other countries showing who has more of life’s refinements, while a Quality of Life values your overall hierarchy of needs: shelter, community, food, water, access to education and healthcare. Quality of Life measures how well you can live in your life while those that live in a high standard of living could still be living in poverty.
